Job Description
Job Summary

Responsible for planning and organizing supply replenishment between the Production Unit (PU) and the Market Unit (MU). This position contributes to the execution of the pharmaceutical supply chain goals & objectives. This position relies on experience, judgment, and analysis to insure targeted customer service levels are met. This role is comprised of elements of inventory, supply planning, market awareness and overall supply chain process.

Responsibilities

  • Works with U.S. and international manufacturing plants to insure inventories are supplied in a timely manner and at the proper levels. Conducts regular teleconferences with each plant to review supply topics and maintain an interactive communication.

  • Receives production schedules from U.S. & foreign manufacturing plants and performs detailed analysis to determine any supply variances.

  • Performs analysis of inventory & planned supply to create reports and presentation material.

  • Reviews replenishment plans and inventory levels to support monthly sales and operations planning processes, including analysis of expiration dates to mitigate inventory loss of short dated product.

  • Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which enhance planning and operations.

  • Coordinates and communicates production unit information within the sales and marketing organizations. Provides regular updates on supply issues.

  • Assists the commercial organization in problem resolution related to plants and products.

  • Performs necessary functions within SAP including reviewing inventory reports and updating purchase order information as needed. Sends monthly notification of backorders to overseas PU's.

  • Review inventory levels in the U.S. distribution centers to insure proper inventory levels are maintained and product flow is optimized in the network.

  • Works closely with manufacturing plants to insure direct shipment replenishment into U.S. distribution centers are optimized.

  • Performs special projects, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field.

  • Must have 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or healthcare related industry.

  • SAP experience is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is critical.

  • Must have a strong knowledge of supply chain & inventory practices. Familiarity with manufacturing environment is desired

  • Strong analytical skillswith the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Possess excellent time management skills and can manage multiple priorities.

  • Communicates effectively with a broad range of multicultural, domestic and international partners

  • Must demonstrate effective decision-making skills.

  • Operationally independent and self-motivated.

  • Understands customer service management.

  • Readily adapts to situational and organizational changes.
