Senior Security Engineer

Location: Los Angeles preferred

Hybrid Schedule (M/F remote, T/W/TH in-office)

In this role you will:

  • Write and enforcing Magnite's InfoSec policies
  • Respond to security incidents and alerts
  • Document go-forward solution to address and resolve security incidents
  • Manage internal and external scanning, lead pen test engagements, and evaluate Risks and Threats
  • Consult with and provide informal training and guidance to network engineers, systems engineers, and other personnel on security practices and techniques.
  • Partner with the Mangite Revenue team provide information to Magnite's partners concerning Magnite's Information Security processors

We're looking for someone with:

  • A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred, specifically in Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field
  • CISSP or CISM certification preferred
  • One or more CCISO, CRISC, CISA, CCSK, CCSP certifications are a plus
  • 4+ years in the InfoSec space, including information and information risk assessment, risk analysis, risk treatment, privacy, data protection, regulatory frameworks, control frameworks, as well as risk and security architecture and demonstrated experience in leading cyber incident response
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Sarbanes Oxley, SOC1/SOC2 audits
  • Deep expertise in firewall, system, operating system configuration management, patching, anti-malware, and network architectures as well as in at least one Operations technical skill set (Network Engineering, Unix System Administration, Security Engineering, Database Management, etc.)
  • Experience with SIEM (e.g. Chronicle, LogRhythm, Elk, Splunk)
  • Experience with authentication technologies (HMAC, SAML, OAuth)
  • Experience with advanced anti-malware, web application firewalls, web filters, spam filters, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning tools
  • Strong knowledge of information security threats, vulnerability management, and countermeasures and associated operational best practices
  • Proven track record and experience in developing information security policies and procedures, as well as successfully executing programs that meet business objectives and excellence in a dynamic high-tech environment
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
  • High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity

  • Large-scale Linux-based on-prem and AWS infrastructure

  • Applications are written in various languages, including Java, C++, Python, Scala, and others.

In California, the base salary range for this position is: $145,000 - $155,,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).

In Colorado, the base salary range for this position is: $135,000 - $145,000 in addition to an annual variable bonus based on performance and company equity (NASDAQ: MGNI).
