Overview

As a Tax Staff Accountant at Flatiron, you will be responsible for assisting in tax compliance preparation of federal, state and local, and international income taxes, transaction taxes, ad valorum taxes and other tax matters of the company.

What you will be doing
    Gather and prepare supporting documentation for the preparation of federal, state & local, andinternational income and joint venture tax return
  • Gather and prepare supporting documentation for the preparation of the quarterly and annualGAAP & IFRS tax provision (experience with OneSource Tax Provision preferred)
  • Prepare necessary journal entries and reconcile tax accounts on a routine basis
  • Prepare fixed asset reconciliations for tax provision & tax returns
  • Prepare schedules for annual property tax filings
  • Coordinate property tax payments
  • Facilitate project interviews for R&D tax credit study
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales & use tax returns
  • Coordinate sales tax payments
  • Assist with tax audits & notices (federal, state, international)
  • Provides periodic overload assistance and special project investigation as direct by the SeniorTax Manager
  • Research tax issues and prepare memos to document conclusions
  • Responsible for annual country-by-country reporting to parent company
  • Prepare other miscellaneous tax filings
  • Work closely with parent company tax department for consolidated group needs
  • Interest in learning and career advancement
  • Maintains knowledge of Company's values and strategic plan
  • Supports published corporate policies
  • Perform additional assignments per management's direction
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field required.
  • Recent graduate or 1-2 years related tax experince preferred.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Developing analytical skills.
  • Takes personal ownership over tasks and asks for help, when needed.
