Job Description
The Hydrovac Quality & Support Technician is responsible for supporting the Transwest Hydrovac Sales team in preparing, demonstrating, troubleshooting, and being a product expert for the Foremost and Rival Hydrovac lines that Transwest offers. This position will work closely with the sales team to inspect, deliver trucks, and support customer needs. Transwest has teamed with Foremost and Rival to produce hydrovac trucks that will exceed all expectations in the field. Our hydrovac trucks are built for anything, with rugged Freightliner and Western Star chassis with Foremost and Rival hydrovac bodies, they offer the features you expect from the best names in the industry. As hydrovac truck sales and rentals continue to grow, Transwest is looking to add a Hydrovac Quality & Support Technician to the team. The ideal candidate will be energetic, customer oriented, self-motivated, and outgoing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Learn to operate each model of hydrovac proficiently and safely.
  • Test operation of completed units.
  • Test hydraulic systems.
  • Top off essential truck fluids.
  • Perform minor mechanical adjustments.
  • Report any mechanical issues.
  • Gas, wash and arrange vehicles on the lot.
  • Deliver and pick up vehicles to various locations throughout the Denver Metro area.
  • Drive customer and stock vehicles around company property.
  • Perform minor detail work.
  • Prepare stock and customer vehicles for delivery.
  • Provide training and technical support/troubleshooting on mechanical issues for customers.
  • Assist customers with parts orders as needed.
  • Provide technical assistance during the sales process as needed.
  • Drive trucks to various locations within the region and perform demos as needed.
  • Be able to proficiently demonstrate each hydrovac model in a safe manner.
  • Work with customers to identify continuous improvement opportunities to ensure satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
  • Required to perform work inside and outside, and in all-weather situations.
  • Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending, or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity, fine manipulation, and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Normal range of hearing and vision.
  • Will require travel, domestic and internationally (to Canada) for training purposes and customer support.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker endorsement or the ability to obtain one within 90 days.
  • MVR in good standing.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Successful track record of developing relationships
  • Ability to work independently and with a group.
  • Able to seek help and guidance when needed.
  • Must be able to obtain a passport.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with automotive electronics and hydraulics systems.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
  • Candidate must be a motivated individual who can work independently.
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
JOB DETAILS:
  • Type: Salary
  • Compensation: $45,000 to $75,000
  • Bonus Eligibility: Yes
  • Reports to: Hydrovac Sales Manager
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Additional time as needed for customer support.
