The starting pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.50 per hour, plus additional annual profit-sharing bonus potential. Salary may vary based on education, knowledge, and experience.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be available for work from 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday through Friday and have experience in purchasing and/or inventory in the professional services industry.

Duties and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Assist P&I Manager with various tasks.
  • Learning basic level working knowledge of various Purchasing and Inventory tasks.
  • Ability to process vendor invoices and research or identify discrepancies.
  • Effective document management and data entry.
  • Provide effective and timely support of the Purchasing and Inventory Department.
  • File maintenance.
  • Preparing and processing purchase requests for office supplies and equipment.
  • Receipt tracking.
  • Check-in and stocking of orders.
  • Tablet set ups and check ins.

The Purchasing & Inventory Assistant we are seeking has a great opportunity to help WEST take the next step in our growth as a premier environmental consulting firm. Successful candidate must be a self-starter that can work independently or as part of a team and who possesses:

  • High School Diploma.
  • The ideal candidate has one (1) year of experience working in purchasing and/or inventory in the professional services industry.
  • Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of purchasing principles and practice.
  • Knowledge of asset tracking processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.


After an offer of employment is made, the candidate must successfully pass a pre- employment background check, drug screening, and DMV records check that meets WEST's minimum criteria to operate a motor vehicle on behalf of the company. A valid driver's license will be required.
